Discovering the Best Antique Markets on a Road Trip

Let’s face it – the internet is filled with many different articles about the best places to stop on a road trip outside Toronto. One thing we noticed though is how little antique/flea markets are featured on blogTO or Narcity.

So, how do you know you found a good Antique Market? Some of the things you should look for is the distance off the main road. When you are driving 3 hours north you don’t want to navigate too far off.

Do your research! Often times we find customers are more pleased when they read our Google Reviews or find us on Waze. It’s important to have some idea of what the flea market can offer before taking an additional hour off your trip (trust us – you will definitely spend an hour browsing around).

Be spontaneous! Often times the best discoveries are those that you don’t plan ahead. This allows you to take in everything you see and the rich history that is associated with each item. People love things and when those things represent something (like your amazing road trip of summer 2018) it becomes sentimental. Here at Hanover this is the kind of feelings we want to create and share.

So next time you decide to drive 3 hours north to Tobermory or the Bruce Peninsula make sure you bring your map (or download Waze) so you and your friends don’t miss the chance to make some great summer memories.
